WONDERFUL GATHERING 17TH FEB 2006

Although the exact location of the venue was initially confusing, which we suspect Poh Eng, the able organiser for the event intentionally arranged for it to be as such for mysterious effect, the gathering this year at a very special TEA CLUB at Bangsar was really memorable.

Firstly of course there were the usual chukles and hilarious moments throughout the dinner despite the constant reminder of our slightly advanced seniority status in every sense of the expression.

Then personally, I wast delighted to have met Yoke Fah after many years.

Karen at certain point could not stand the high decible created, not unlike those days in the tutorial room or lecture hall before the arrival of our lecturer. Eventually Frances had to politely request everyone to tone down! Woon Chien was amazed at the request because sitting next to Frances, he was the most soft spoken one as usual, besides Cheng Im, still with the most ladylike composure.

Chin Kuan informed us of her involvement in high end real estate and for some strange reason, someone asked if she can also help in writing wills as well! I suppose at our present age, very often, ESTATE is subconciously link to WILL.

Cheow Hean, the usual stabilising personality of the lot, was also the one who updated us on those who could not attend. We certainly hope to meet all our mates in our future meetings.

Poh Eng maintained her ultra positive personality and by her youthful and vibrant look, she was indeed also the gracious "Hostess" for the night.

I was the best behaved one throughout the night ( if you believe me), until Boon Kee nominated me to be the organiser for the next meeting in August. I was so moved that such honor was bestowed upon me that I almost wanted to make a tearful acceptance speech; but in view of the presence of Bernard who normally starts his sentence by saying, " No! I am telling you..... " I decided to maintain my silence.

Nevertheless, after the dinner I managed to drag a few of us to the happening places which I had not been for ages, and talked till 2.30am, with the permission of Robyn, because I told her I was with Cheow Hean and Bernard.

In order to plan for the function in August, please inform the others of this Blog and provide our particulars via Comment; the first comment from me is the proposed format. I am hopeful to compile a complete list of the class of 83, otherwise, come next meeting, Cheow Hean will again mention a certain name and visually rerfer to that mysterious graduation photo near the MU emblem attempting to remind us as to who he was talking about. Amazing memory!
